Why should I buy Nobilis or Nordman?
These trees have better
needle retention and a more consistent shape from top to bottom.
- Why
should I buy Nobilis or Nordman instead of Norway spruce?
The needles are softer and they stay on the tree not on the carpet.
- Don’t
all real trees lose their needles?
No! Emerald Nobilis and Nordman hold their needles well into
the New Year.
- Are Nobilis and Nordman guaranteed to hold their
needles?
All trees will lose some needles as they are being moved into,
out of or around the house. However when stationary within the
house Nobilis and Nordman is guaranteed not to drop its needles
if you follow the care information.
- Why is a Nobilis valued so
highly?
From the time it is collected as a seed, an Our Nobilis is personally
tended for at least eight years. It is fertilised, shaped, kept
free of pests and weeds, carefully cut, measured, packaged and
labeled to ensure that customers get the Christmas tree they
deserve.
- Where do our Nobilis and Emerald Nordman come from?
From carefully managed plantations on the fertile East Coast
of Ireland.
- Isn’t it more environmentally
friendly to buy an artificial tree?
No! Artificial trees are made of plastic, a non renewable resource
which is not biodegradable. Real trees provide oxygen, are replaced
when cut and are completely recyclable.
- Would Christmas be the
same without a real tree?
No! Ask the children.
- Is my Christmas tree still alive?
If cut, it is not longer alive. However, it can still take
up water through the stem if it is freshly cut and kept in
a water filled stand. This slows down its deterioration and
keeps it fresh for longer.
- Should I water the Tree?
Place it in a water filled stand. Give it a drink of water
every day. Please note it is pointless giving the tree water
unless you have trimmed the base to let it drink.
- My tree looks
droopy and dead. Why?
If you fail to follow the recommended
steps your tree will deteriorate because of excess heat and
too little to drink.
- Should I cut the stem?
It is essential to cut 2.5cm from the base of the stem before
placing the tree in water and bringing indoors.
- When should
I bring my tree indoors?
To give maximum satisfaction over the 12 days of Christmas,
ideally your tree should be brought in as late as possible.
The earlier you bring in the tree, the earlier it will lose
some of its freshness.
- What temperature should it be, to keep
my tree fresh in the home?
Keep the temperature at or below 20C.
- What should I do to keep
my tree fresh in the home?
The label tells you how. It advises you to
a. Cut the stem
b. Keep the tree in water
c. Keep it away from heat
d. Treat it like fresh flowers
- How are the trees delivered?
All trees are delivered via courier direct to your
door, they come fully netted and ready to decorate,
we do advise cutting the base and watering, if possible.
